The Abu Abal Metro is a metro opened in 2013 as a joint international project and as part of the Harudi Rebuilding and Modernistation Plan. The Metro runs on tramlines underground, rather than full trains to keep costs down and it has only one line which goes from north to south. Another line is currently being built from east to west.
The Metro is regulated by theDepartment of Transportation.
History[]
In 2011, the war torn country persuaded international efforts to rebuild Harud and the German company Siemens was asked to build a underground tram line, in exchange for €2.2 million. Work started in 2012 and the metro opened in 2013.
